The Missing Imperfections

I've noticed that something I tend to do, and maybe others do it as well, is to glance over things. I automatically assume something is perfect and I don't look for the imperfections. I don't see the pencil marks on the brown table, all the leaves on the trees are green and whole, not browning on the edges with missing holes, and light covers are pure white without black spots. My brain would rather gloss over things and just see them as the whole image they are in my head, instead of focus on the imperfections that make it what it is.
